(Gulf Shores, Ala.) - Owners from Sagebrush Realty Development (Sagebrush) are excited to launch a nationally branded chain of luxury RV resorts. Appropriately named Bella Terra, this chain will ultimately allow the growing number of RV owners to move across the country with access to a consistent upscale lodging experience.

Sagebrush executives Robert Jacobsen, Chuck Smith and Tripp Keber have begun putting this vision into motion as the first Bella Terra RV resort, located in Gulf Shores, Ala., is set for completion in mid 2008. Initial plans will focus on resort construction throughout the eastern U.S. region and will continue with westward expansion.

“It is our goal to construct resorts in strategic locations that will allow RV owners to follow the seasons,” said Robert Jacobsen, CEO of Sagebrush. “With the Bella Terra chain, we will replicate consistent, luxurious resort-style living throughout the country. While the scenery may change, the experience that our owners come to expect will remain unchanged.”

The company will construct a series of resorts within pre-established regions throughout the country including the southwest, east coast and northwest. Site selection within these regions is currently underway. This will give RV owners the ability to move north and southbound within a region during seasonal changes. In a given year, owners can experience the Bella Terra lifestyle in the mountaintops, down the coastline or on the beach front.

The concept is equivalent to vacationers staying in branded hotel chains such as The Ritz-Carlton, Marriott or Hilton while traveling. However, Bella Terra RV resorts will cater to a different demographic: the mobile class-A motorcoach owner.

According to research from the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), nearly 8 million households own an RV – up 15 percent as compared to four years ago. With the enormous baby boomer generation reaching retirement age, it is expected these numbers will only continue to skyrocket.

“Quite simply, Bella Terra will offer a product for these consumers that is not currently available anywhere else,” said Chuck Smith, President of Sagebrush. “In working with these high-end coach owners, they want an upscale resort lifestyle experience with exceptional service, expansive amenities and access to area activities – all in a great location. We are making this desire a reality for many.”

After extensive research, Sagebrush owners selected Gulf Shores, Ala. for location of the first Bella Terra resort and headquarters. The area’s pristine beaches, outdoor activities and high growth potential were all contributing factors in this decision.

“Bella Terra has experienced an overwhelming response from RV owners across the nation,” said Tripp Keber, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Bella Terra. “This branded resort chain supports a luxury lifestyle, offers a great opportunity to travel and yields a favorable economy to scale.”
