(Gulf Shores, Ala.) – Representatives from Sagebrush Realty Development announced today the official groundbreaking for Bella Terra of Gulf Shores, an RV lifestyle resort community. This 176-lot, luxury resort will cater to Class-A motor coaches and is the first of its kind to begin construction in the Gulf Shores area.

Located on 40 acres at 21642 Brinks Willis Road, just off the Foley Beach Expressway, Bella Terra offers convenient access to the sandy-white beaches of the Gulf Coast and the best shopping and dining in the region. This location coupled with amenities that include resort-style pools, grand clubhouse, private movie theatre, tennis courts and concierge service position Bella Terra to be the first true five-star luxury resort in the nation. Resort completion is expected for spring 2008.

“We have a very exciting project and we believe the Gulf Shores area is the absolute perfect setting for it,” said Chuck Smith, President of Sagebrush Realty and Development. “Our goal is to set a new standard for luxury RV resorts nationwide, with this being the first in a branded chain of lifestyle resort communities. We are going to deliver a level of service and attention to detail, in a beautifully landscaped and generously appointed resort, that today’s RV enthusiast is demanding.

Bella Terra residents are able to choose from a variety of terraced, lakefront, pull-through and exclusive coach estate lots ranging from $100,000 to $225,000. Since the official launch of the marketing effort in early August, more than 50 percent of the released pre-construction lots have been sold.

Many across the nation are experiencing new destinations in high-end, Class-A motor coaches that exceed upwards of $500,000. In fact, research shows that RV trends across the nation are on the rise. According to the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association, in 2010 RV ownership will exceed 8.5 million, up from was at 7.9 million in recent years. Bella Terra offers a product for these consumers that is not available today.

“What we have found is that people are embracing the fact that we are developing a complete luxury RV resort experience,” said Robert Jacobsen, CEO of Sagebrush. “The general consensus of people who contact us it that it’s about time someone did what we are doing. We are literally raising the bar in this international industry – right here in Gulf Shores!”
